Parents, Community Members, and Visitors,

It gives me special pleasure to welcome all of you back to A.C. Jones High School. Our Trojan community is clearly a community of a wonderful faculty and staff whose commitment to excellence continuously elevates our sights in higher education or career placements.

We will begin our 2008-09 school year with approximately 1100 students, a new bell schedule to meet T.E.A. Guidelines of the new 4x4 plan and Barnhart along with Coastal Bend College to meet the needs of students and track students entering the post-secondary educational system.

Other new goals that A.C. Jones H.S. plans to conquer are:

  • Improve TAKS scores

  • Refrain from using " That's the way we have always done it."

  • Improve Our Customer Service/Public Relations

  • Meet our Accountability measures ( T.A.K.S / A.Y.P )

  • Discuss and share our scores with all Parents and Personnel.

We look forward to keeping up our Web-Page with dates of various events current and our continued efforts to ensure success throughout the 2008-09 school years at A.C. Jones H.S.

I look forward to see all of you at the many "Trojan-Spirit" events!

Very Truly Yours,

Joe D. Reyes
